HMS Ranked 2nd among Top 10 SDVOSBs for partnering on VA T4 NextGen
Published: Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Any contractor looking for business with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has been anxiously awaiting VA’s $12 billion Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology (T4) Program Next Generation (NG) Release. In July, the VA released the RFI for the next iteration of this massive IT modernization contract vehicle and thus started the scramble among Small Businesses and Large to form strong alliances and partnerships that complete the scope outlined within the solicitation.
As a CVE SDVOSB who has completed significant work within the VA, HMS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (HMS) formed an internal team earlier in the year and made the corporate commitment to add strategic focus and resources to winning a coveted spot on this significant program. As a tribute to the vision and dedication of HMS’ T4NG team, HMS was ranked #2 in a recently published list of the “Top 10 Best Positioned SDVOSBs” in a Federal health industry article which highlighted the top 10 SDVOSB firms believed to be best positioned to win T4NG. The excerpt below:
“HMS was incorporated in 2003 as a
certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Headquartered
in historic Martinsburg, WV, a key location for VA IT services, in particular,
VA IT security. It has strong partners like IBM, Dell, and Lockheed Martin.
[...] Extremely impressed that HMS developed a T4 Next Gen Partners Portal in order
to attract teaming partners. This emphasis shows a strong commitment to this
IDIQ pursuit. HMS has a GSA VETS GWAC and a laundry list of past experience
anecdotes for its VA Work. Little known fact, HMS received the first-ever
SDVOSB of the Year award in 2007.”
The T4NG indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle covers a wide spectrum of services including program management, systems and software engineering, enterprise network, testing, data migration, cybersecurity, training, and more.
