Martinsburg, WV - HMS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (HMS) participated in the 2015 National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE) held on November 17-19 in Pittsburgh, PA. This event, held by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is the largest three-day event for Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) nationwide.

Through this conference, VA brings VA program and acquisition managers together with thousands of VOSBs and SDVOSBs to learn their capabilities to address upcoming opportunities within the VA. It also provides an excellent venue for partnership building. Key speakers included Robert McDonald, the Presidential appointed eighth Secretary of Veterans Affairs and General Dennis Via the 18th Commander of the US Army Materiel Command.

HMS was represented by Bill Kirkpatrick, CEO; Carter Craft, Vice President of Business Development; Elizabeth Myers, Alliance Manager; and Jeremy Fort, Solution Architect.

NVSBE directly connects VOSBs with PDMs from the Department of Veterans Affairs, other federal agencies, state government, as well as large firms with small business needs—and provides training opportunities to improve the capabilities of small businesses to successfully compete for procurement contracts. NVSBE also enables VA PDMs to engage with a large number of VOSBs in a short period of time, facilitating market research in support of meeting VA socioeconomic goals.
