HMS TECHNOLOGIES Awarded First Task Order Contract on Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation Program for Department of Veterans Affairs

Martinsburg, WV - HMS TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (HMS) announced today that it has been awarded its first task order subcontract on the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation (T4NG) program. For this Task Order, in partnership with Forerunner Technologies, HMS will support Telecommunication Maintenance and Follow-on Services for all VA VISN 12 Great Lakes Network VA Medical Centers (VAMC), Vet Centers, Out Patient Clinics, Community Based Out Patient Clinics (CBOCs) and support facilities in a contract with a 12-month period of performance and four 12-month option periods, if exercised.

“For the last four months, the entire HMS Team has been focused on providing solid solutions and proposals to VA in light of our T4NG award,” said HMS CEO Bill Kirkpatrick, “This first win is a stepping stone to the multiple contracts we hope to successfully deliver in order to better serve our Veterans.”

T4NG is a Multi-Agency (MAC) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order (MATO) contract with a base ordering period of five years and one five-year option period. The contract is being managed by VA’s Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) in Eatontown, New Jersey.T4NG will replace the original T4 multiple award contract that expires in June 2016. With an anticipated ceiling value of approximately $22.3 billion, T4NG is the largest IDIQ contract awarded out of the VA.
